Watercolourist, draughtsman and painter ; born in London (6 August 1763) ; apprenticed to the mezzotinter and miniaturist William Pether ; entered the Royal Academy Schools (6 October 1780) ; exhibited at the Royal Academy (1786 onwards) and at the Society of Artists (1790-1791) ; appointed draughtsman to the Duke of York (1791) ; committed suicide in London (May 1804)
